Making money in Runescape is something that many players want to learn how to do. In this blog I will go over various way of how to make money on Old School Runescape. Let me introduce myself, I am a 7 year veteran of Runescape. I started the game as poor as a player can be, envying other players that had rune items. Over the course of my Runescape career, I went from having nothing, to having nearly 10B runescape gold. For those of you that have played RS an amount like 10B is something that most players will never dream of achieving. Now you may ask, “How did you do this?” Well, the truth is that it took a lot of trial and error. First I would do mundane tasks like killing monsters like hill giants, chopping trees like yews, and even fishing for lobsters. I soon realized that this type of moneymaking would just be a small part of the overall picture. These moneymaking methods were only producing a measly 50k-100k/hr. If I was to become successful and rich in RS, I would need to find more efficient ways of producing income. This is the part of the post that I will go into detail of the more efficient ways of gaining gold in Runescape. This blog will focus on Old School Runescape. One great money making method for those that have no skill levels or starting capital is advertising for various in game clan chats. These clans pay advertisers 150-200k per hour to advertise their clan chat in popular locations in Runescape. With the money that you make advertising Clan Chats, I would recommend you proceed to merchant items. With popular websites like Zybez that act like a Grand Exchange, you can easily skill (chop trees, fish lobsters, or other resource gathering activities) while flipping items. The more capital that you get, the larger the money per hour your merchanting possibilities become. For example: you would go into Zybez and submit an offer for a fury necklace for 2.5M. Then once a seller approaches you and you make the trade, you can submit a sell offer on Zybez for 2.6-7M. Usually you will be able to flip anywhere from 1 to even 10 items an hour. The margin on this merchant coupled with your resource gathering skills will net you around 500k/hr. Once you increase your cash stack to larger amounts, you will be able to participate in more profitable merchanting opportunities. Some merchants are able to influence the entire market’s price on certain items. If you work your way to riches, you may one day be able to make bill’s a week by manipulating the Runescape Market.
